Portilog now offering training on Left Bank
Portilog, the training centre for port and logistics professionals, is now also offering training in the Waasland port. Given the extensive port activities on the Left Bank, Portilog speaks of a strategic choice to meet the requirements of the logistics sector.
For the training courses on the Left Bank, Portilog has found a suitable location in the building of the Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever (MLSO), located at Sint-Paulusplein 27 in Kallo. For Portilog, it is a strategic choice to provide training in the Waaslandhaven, which the centre says is the“epicentre of international trade”.
“The carefully composed offer is completely tailored to the specific needs of local professionals,” says Yves Van Meirvenne, director of Portilog. “Think starter courses on essential topics such as ‘bill of lading’, Incoterms 2020, customs, excise and more. This targeted approach, with a focus on local expertise,
is at the heart of Portilog’s mission.”

In the near future, the basic offer will be further expanded with other relevant training courses for the region. This will focus on shipping, forwarding, logistics and customs. For Portilog’s training courses, the Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever (MLSO) is making its office building available. “Portilog’s choice of the Waaslandhaven is an important added value for our port employees,” stresses Peter Van de Putte, director of Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever. “This gives them easier access to relevant training in their own working environment. Moreover, the offer strengthens the position of the Waasland port as an attractive economic pool. We are therefore happy to make a space available in our office in Kallo, the heart of the Waaslandhaven.”
Portilog also remains anchored in its familiar locations in Antwerp (CEPA), Berchem (BluePoint), Ghent (SBM Campus) and Zeebrugge (ABC Tower), and now welcomes port and logistics professionals to the Waaslandhaven to build a successful future together.
