CHEP Benelux, provider of supply chain solutions and market leader in pallet pooling, appoints Boris Lohmüller as its new country general manager. Lohmüller was until recently with CHEP Germany.
Boris Lohmüller has a broad background in retail and consumer goods. He held various commercial leadership positions within CHEP Germany over the past 15 years. In his previous position, he served as commercial director and was jointly responsible for the German sales strategy.
Efficient and sustainable
“I am greatly looking forward to working with the Benelux team to further expand our position in the market. As the backbone of the supply chain and with our sustainable business model, we want to convince more companies to work with us. We are convinced that we can offer added value to our customers both in terms of supply chain efficiency and sustainability,” says Lohmüller.
Besides launching innovative projects and putting the importance of circular economy on the map, he also aims to attract young talent to the logistics sector. “To young talent, we want to introduce CHEP as a great employer that exudes sustainability, from production process to workplace,” he says.
Predecessor
Lohmüller succeeds Vanessa Stark who will lead the customer experience department within Europe to enhance the customer experience in all European countries where CHEP operates.
Rental
Logistics company CHEP does not sell its pallets and containers, but leases them to producers who share and reuse them. This way of working is known as ‘pooling’. The business model is based on the principles of the circular economy. CHEP therefore claims to be a pioneer in the circular economy, since it was founded more than 70 years ago. In the Benelux, CHEP has been around for 45 years.
