Since its acquisition by Dutch group ProMedia, Flows has been trying to be more than a news website. With the arrival of video content and studio interviews, the evolution has started towards a broader media platform for the port and transport sector.
An analysis of our readership figures shows a strong interest in depth and background information, combined with a personal touch. The weekly weekend column ‘People’ with mainly personal stories is very popular.
That is why Flows is launching a brand new podcast: ‘Flowscast’, a podcast created by our editors, full of valuable insights, trends and inspiring personal stories. Always with the strong journalistic eye you are used to from Flows.
Port Professions
Every week, our editors Julie Desmet or Philippe Van Dijck welcome a fascinating or high-profile guest from the port and transport sector. The first season focuses on ‘special port professions’. For instance, we find out what a traffic controller does or what the difference is between a river pilot and a sea pilot.
Dirk Daems kicks off the show. Dirk is managing director of AGZ Port Services in Antwerp and president of the Royal Association of Antwerp Water Clerks (KVWA).
