The graduate programme in transport and logistics at AP University of Applied Sciences is a fairly recent addition to the curriculum. The course combines theory lessons at school with a practical component on the shop floor. A tailor-made course for candidates who want a higher education degree and at the same time a hands-on experience. The course delivers students in five professional profiles. A formula that is catching on, because where AP University College expected about 20 enrolments, the tally now stands at more than 70. This also means that the school has to look for many more companies than expected to place the students. No mean feat when you know that the students should be able to take their first step on the shop floor at the end of November, after the first theoretical lessons. Per semester, the students will also spend more time in the company, with a maximum of four days a week.
