Montea brings first logistics investor to Blue Gate Antwerp

The Blue Gate Antwerp site consists of both a business park for eco-innovative production and R&D (research and development) companies and a logistics zone. For that logistics zone, logistics real estate group Montea and transport and logistics group Van Moer Logistics acquired the concession in 2016. This zone consists of a water-bound terminal and a rear zone for logistics activities. The terminal along the Scheldt River was built first and is operated by Van Moer Logistics. The land behind was heavily polluted and has been remediated in recent years by DEC/DEME and real estate developer Bopro. Meanwhile, 14 of the 33 hectares of the business park have already been sold. A ‘bridge to the future’ (photo) over Blue Gate Antwerp’s green corridor has just been inaugurated on the site.
