No Waterbus to Temse and Bornem: 'Silence around pilot project'

UA Master’s student Emiel Van Driessche’s research maps the preferences of Waterbus users. On the fringes of that survey, it emerged that many users would like to see a stop in Temse or Bornem. South of the current terminus in Hemiksem, the service will not come for the time being. “Those municipalities are outside our scope,” says Antwerp Port Authority spokesman Reinhard Byl. “If the municipalities concerned want to invest in the necessary infrastructure themselves, we do want to offer support where we can. But there is no question of financial intervention.”
