At the National Forum meeting this Wednesday morning, the vision document around community systems was on the agenda. Should the number of connections to community systems be limited, this would have a major impact on international freight traffic via seaports and airports.
In our country, several initiatives exist to open up the various logistics communities, today including NxtPort/C-point in Antwerp, BRUcloud in Zaventem, RX/SeaPort in Zeebrugge and the platform in Bierset. In addition, there is still a platform to be developed in Ghent. These (air)port community systems are exclusively authorised to connect with Belgian customs, according to the vision document.
