Transferium was started as a storage and transhipment company and experienced strong growth for 20 years. With a strong reputation within the cement, building materials and soil industry, the field of action and expertise was continuously expanded. Today, Transferium operates in three areas of expertise: stevedoring, biomass and general transshipment.
With more than 20 years of experience, Transferium is a leading logistics service provider offering reliable and efficient solutions for the transshipment and storage of bulk and general cargo. Its extensive network includes four strategic water-bound locations: Ghent, Brussels, Roeselare and Houplain-Ancoisne. Together, the sites account for a total of 960 metres of quay and over 100,000 m2 of storage space. The Ghent location also receives ocean-going vessels with a draught of 7.5m.
By using these strategically located terminals, Transferium contributes to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly form of transport. Since 2023, the company has also been a highly valued partner of the Multi Logistics Group (MLG). The operation of River Terminal Roeselare is a result of the strategic cooperation between Transferium and MLG.
Biomass
