‘Knights of the Road’ come in different formats. Bronze Knights are three consecutive years claim-free, Silver ones five years, Gold Knights ten years. A Diamond Knight, a truck driver who remains accident-free for 20 consecutive years, they had not yet seen at insurer TVM, which hands out the awards. Marc Van Belleghem, driver at Snel Logistic Solutions in Deinze, is the first to add the title to his record of achievements. An occasion that will not go unnoticed: Marc was honoured on Friday afternoon by TVM and his employer. For instance, Van Belleghem, who has been with Snel for 29 years, was allowed to receive his new truck. A Scania P280 6X2, with options to suit his needs. The truck has an extra third axle and a high cab for additional comfort. A reward for his achievement? It is also clearly stated on the tailgate that the Diamond Knight of the Road is driving this truck.
