Promotion of Inland Navigation and Shortsea Shipping closed for good

In December last year it was decided to dissolve the non-profit organisation Promotie Binnenvaart Vlaanderen (PBV), which also included Shortsea Shipping Vlaanderen (SSV). An extinction scenario would be worked out but until recently it was still unclear whether PBV’s tasks would be taken over by other organisations and what the future would be for its employees. The offices in Antwerp and Hasselt closed their doors permanently at the beginning of this week and the phone numbers are no longer available either.
