At least that is what some French-language newspapers are reporting. No one at the port of Liège could be reached for comment for the time being. As a matter of fact, the port of Liège had already concluded an agreement with ArcelorMittal to use the track that crosses the nearby Chertal site to connect to the rail network via Bressoux and Kinkempois station. That agreement had already had to be renewed as operations at the Chertal site had since ceased.
