Rik Verhaegen coordinator for nautical chain reform after audit

The audit of the nautical chain produced no less than 67 recommendations to increase reliability, efficiency and transparency in shipping traffic to and from the Flemish seaports. All parties directly involved already signed a declaration of intent at the beginning of April in which they committed to pursue “maximum implementation” of those recommendations. This must be done “in consultation with all chain partners and possibly other actors involved”.
