Recycling company builds colossal sorting hall in Waaslandhaven
The new sorting hall is part of the expansion of D’Hollander Equipment’s operations, explains managing director Yvan D’Hollander. Until recently, the company used mobile machines to go to companies to recycle, screen and shred products on site. These activities will now be able to take place in the new hall. The multipurpose shed has a waterproof concrete floor, where all products such as ores, minerals and graphite blocks can be crushed into raw material. The company also has a class I environmental permit for the treatment of contaminated soil as an intermediate step towards biological cleaning. “We can also treat containers here with non-ferrous metals and other products that need to be kept dry,” says D’Hollander.
